Guided tour in Cáceres and Trujillo plains, birdwatching Extremadura
The cereal plains are the result of human action on the natural environment to produce dryland herbaceous crops, mainly cereals. The pseudo-steppe areas are ecosystems with a high and unique biodiversity. In Extremadura, we can find some of the most representative examples of this ecosystem within Europe: the Cáceres and Sierra de Fuentes Plains, Santa Marta de Magasca Plains and Trujillo Plains; all of them are being declared Special Protection Area for Birds because of their high ornithologist value.
